DLH Advances AI-Integrated Pedagogy at InnoVision 2026, Philippines
The AIDE (Artificial Intelligence for Innovative Designs in Education) team at APU-DLH delivered specialized workshops on Generatice AI for education at InnoVision 2026, hosted by the Philippine Coding Camp (PCC) in Manila.
APU and OUM Drive ASEAN’s AI Revolution in Education
Co-hosted with Open University Malaysia, the 2nd ASEAN Stakeholder Summit on Generative AI for Education united regional thought leaders for dialogue on AI-enhanced teaching, learning, assessment and policy, reinforcing APU’s leadership in shaping the future of education in the region.
APU Secures USD 150,000 Grant
APU in collaboration with American Geosciences Institute (AGI) secured a USD 150,000 Seed Grant under the Deep-Time Digital Eartch (DDE) Big Science Programme. The grant supports an internation collaboration with the Suzhou DDE Research Center, the DDE Secretariat and the AGI to develop immersive digital technologies that transform how learners engage with Earth systems.
Fostering SDG-Focused Education with Fulbright Specialist
Through the Digital Learning Hub, APU welcomed Dr. Ed Robeck of the American Geosciences Institue under the the Fulbright Specialist Programme to support the SDGiC (Sustainable Development Goals in Curriculum) initiative. The collaboration strengthened faculty capacity to embed sustainability principles into curriculum design, reinforcing APU;s commitment to research informed, SDG-aligned teaching and global academic partnership.
ASEAN Stakeholder Summit for Gen AI in Education 2024
APU hosted the first ASEAN Stakeholder Summit for Generative AI in Education, attracting over 200 policymakers, educators and industry leaders from ASEAN and beyound to explore how Gen AI can enhance personalised learning, engagement and equitable access in education.
COLLABORATIONS
Through the Digital Learning Hub, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation collaborated with Dr. Ed Robeck of the American Geosciences Institute under the Fulbright Specialist Programme to advance SDGiC initiatives and integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into curriculum design and faculty development.
APU and AGI recently secured a USD 150,000 seed grant to develop Digital Outcrop Model resources—interactive 3D tools for geoscience education created with international collaborators. Together, these initiatives strengthen sustainability-focused teaching, digital STEM education innovation, and global academic collaboration.
The Digital Learning Hub (DLH) at the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation partnered with the Philippine Coding Camp to deliver advanced Generative AI workshops under the InnoVision 2026 Campus Series (16-20 February, 2026), strengthening structured AI capability across Philippine higher education institutions.
The collaboration, led alongside Dr. Gabriel Avelino Sampedro of PCC and an APU UNESCO Chair partner, reflects a shared ASEAN commitment to responsible and academically rigorous AI integration.
